Privacy Policy

DD Compressor · Last updated: 1 October 2026

Privacy-first: DD Compressor is designed to process selected files locally on the user's device. D.D. Tech Labs does not operate a server that stores uploaded compression files.

1. Scope

This policy covers the DD Compressor website, PWA and Android application.

2. What happens to your files

3. Accounts and personal information

The core DD Compressor experience does not require an account, password or user profile. D.D. Tech Labs does not operate a server-side account system for the core compressor.

4. Storage and downloads

Compressed output may be handed to the browser or Android operating system for saving or sharing. Storage after that point is controlled by your device, browser and operating system.

5. Network access

Core compression is designed to run locally. A particular Android release may use network access for separately enabled third-party services. Network access for such services does not mean that selected compression files are uploaded to a D.D. Tech Labs compression server.

6. Advertising

Current store-first Android build: intended to be ad-free and without the Google AdMob SDK.

If a future Android release enables Google AdMob or another advertising service, that release may process advertising-related information such as advertising/device identifiers, diagnostics, ad delivery or measurement data, and ad interaction information, subject to the applicable service documentation, device settings, region and consent requirements.

If consent is legally required for an enabled advertising service, the applicable consent flow will be used before requesting ads where required. Advertising-related third-party processing is separate from the local compression engine. Selected file contents are not intentionally sent to an advertising provider by the compression engine.

7. Analytics and tracking

The core DD Compressor implementation is designed without a D.D. Tech Labs-operated analytics database. If a future release introduces analytics, tracking, accounts, server processing, or another material data-processing service, this Privacy Policy will be updated.

8. Third-party software

DD Compressor may include open-source local processing libraries, including media and PDF processing components. These run as part of the application rather than as a D.D. Tech Labs file-upload service. Third-party components may have their own licenses and privacy practices.

9. Sharing and sale

10. Retention and deletion

D.D. Tech Labs does not maintain a server-side retention period for selected compression files because the core compression process is local. Temporary local data is controlled by the device, browser or app.

11. Security

Local processing reduces unnecessary transmission of file contents, but no device, browser, software, storage system or network can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your device and software updated and maintain backups of important files.

12. Children's privacy

DD Compressor is a general-purpose utility and is not designed to collect personal information from children.

13. User responsibility

You must have the legal right to process every file you select and must comply with applicable copyright, privacy, confidentiality, licensing and other laws.

14. Changes

This policy may be updated when the application, third-party services, data practices or applicable requirements change. The Last updated date identifies the current revision.
